An obligation free first meeting with you when all your requirements for your wedding day can be discussed. During this meeting all the legal documentation will be fully explained to you. The importance of a birth certificate, extract of entry or passport proving identity.
If either party has been married before proof of divorce will be needed to be sighted, before the Notice of Intended Marriage form can be completed.
I will be happy to discuss with you both any particular requirements you may wish to have to make your day a special and memorable occasion.
Ceremony Information and Requirements
Marriage in Australia requires the following process to take place:-
Notice of Intended Marriage form (NOIM)
This form must be completed signed and completed 1 month prior to your wedding taking place, once this form has been completed it is valid for a period of 18 months.
Documents required
If both parties are born in Australia an original Birth certificate, Extract of Birth, or a current or expired passport is acceptable. A cancelled passport is not a valid form of identification.
If either party is born overseas an original Birth Certificate or an Extract of Birth, a current or expired passport is also acceptable. A cancelled passport is not acceptable.
If either couple have previously been married prior to your wedding day evidence of divorce must be sighted
